The SCOM Alert Update Connector Pro is a powerful tool for integrating SCOM with upstream alert systems, ticketing or incident management systems. It offers the unique ability to insert specialized data into custom fields on alerts after they are generated from rules and monitors. This allows for a ticketing system to interpret and use the assigned values to map alerts to the correct queues or take special actions on them
You simply pick and choose which alerts will be sent to your ticketing system, rather than relying on “All Critical” or “All Critical with High priority”. Often times customers would have to generate WAY too many overrides to use standard alert as the filter for which alerts would go to a connected system.
